Camping at Northern Horizons
Park Rules and Guest Policies
Welcome to Northern Horizons RV Campgrounds. Our Goal is to provide a peaceful, clean, family-friendly camping experience in the beautiful Pennsylvania Wilds near Elk County. We ask all guests to respect fellow campers, wildlife, and park property during their stay.
Reservations & Booking Policies
- Full payment is required for all daily and weekend reservations at the time of booking.
- Weekly and monthly reservations may require a deposit. Please Call to reserve.
- Seasonal reservations require a signed seasonal agreement and deposit. Please call us to reserve.
- Guests must be at least 21 years of age to reserve a site.
- Check-In Time: 2:00 PM
- Check-Out Time: 11:00 AM
- Early arrivals and late departures must be approved by management.
- No refunds for early departures, weather conditions, wildlife activity, or failure to follow campground policies.
Quiet Hours & Guest Conduct
- Quiet Hours are observed daily from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
- Loud music, excessive noise, generators, diesel idling, and disruptive behavior are prohibited during quiet hours.
- Offensive, aggressive, intoxicated, or disorderly behavior will result in removal from the campground without refund.
- Please respect neighboring campers at all times.
Fire Safety Rules
- Campfires are permitted only in designated fire rings.
- Fires must never be left unattended.
- Fires must be fully extinguished before leaving the site or retiring for the evening.
- Burning trash, plastic, pallets, or treated wood is prohibited.
- Firewood should be purchased locally to help protect Pennsylvania forests from invasive pests.
- Chainsaws and cutting standing trees or brush are strictly prohibited.
Children & Safety
- Parents are responsible for supervising children at all times.
- Children must return to their campsite during quiet hours.
- Bicycles, scooters, and recreational equipment must be operated safely.
- No riding after dark without proper lighting.
Trash & Cleanliness
- Please dispose of trash in designated dumpsters only.
- Do not leave garbage outside overnight.
- Cigarette butts must be properly discarded.
- Campsites should be left clean upon departure.
Internet & Campground Amenities
- Wi-Fi service may vary due to weather, terrain, or occupancy.
- Please be respectful when using shared amenities.
- Bathhouse facilities are for registered guests only.
Liability Disclaimer
Guests assume all risks associated with camping and outdoor recreation. Northern Horizons RV Campgrounds is not responsible for:
- *Theft
- *Loss of personal property
- *Damage caused by weather, wildlife, fire, accidents, or other guests
Campsite Occupancy & Vehicles
- Maximum occupancy is 6 guests per site unless approved by management.
- Maximum of 2 vehicles per campsite.
- Additional vehicles may require overflow parking and additional fees.
- Campers must park only in designated areas.
- Washing vehicles or RVs is prohibited unless approved.
- Major vehicle or RV repairs are not permitted on campground property.
RV & Site Requirements
- All RVs must be in clean, operable condition.
- Management reserves the right to refuse older or poorly maintained RVs.
- Sewer connections must use proper sealed fittings.
- Guests are responsible for keeping their site clean and free of clutter.
- Outdoor refrigerators, freezers, or excessive storage are prohibited unless approved.
Pet Policies
- Maximum of 2 pets per site unless approved.
- All pets must remain leashed at all times.
- Owners must immediately clean up after pets.
- Pets may not be left unattended outside.
- Excessive barking or aggressive behavior is prohibited.
- Vaccination records must be available upon request.
- Management reserves the right to require removal of disruptive pets.
Visitors & Day Guests
- Registered campers are responsible for their guests.
- All visitors must register with the office upon arrival.
- Visitor vehicles must park in designated areas.
- Visitors must leave the campground by 10:00 PM unless approved overnight
Wildlife & Nature
- Do not feed wildlife.
- Secure all trash and food properly.
- Respect all natural habitats, trees, streams, and surrounding property.
- Firearms, fireworks, and hunting are prohibited on campground property unless otherwise permitted by law and management.
Seasonal Site Policies
- No Permanent structures
- No Excessive outdoor storage
- No Tarps covering RVs for extended periods
- No Unregistered guests occupying sites
- No Subletting or transferring sites
- Seasonal agreements may be terminated for rule violations.
Right to Refuse Service
Northern Horizons RV Campgrounds reserves the right to refuse service or remove any guest for violation of campground policies, unsafe behavior, or conduct deemed disruptive to other guests.
